The Atriums Senior Living Resident Profile: Marie Clark

Three years ago, Marie Clark was living in her home and had grown tired of caring for it. She was also feeling lonely. All that has changed now since Marie moved to independent living at The Atriums. She’s made good friends here, loves the location and enjoys the wide range of on-site activities.

Restaurant-style Dining, Art Classes and Fun Senior Programs.

Marie appreciates the responsiveness of the servers in our dining room and enjoys the variety of meals. Marie particularly admires the way the staff are handling the challenges presented by COVID-19.

She has developed a newfound talent since living here and now takes painting classes. Her hobbies include reading, going to movies, bowling and golfing. Road trips and traveling are favorite pastimes she enjoyed with her husband.

An IRS employee for 25 years, she started as a keypunch operator and eventually managed analysts. Marie has twin sisters in Texas who she cared for and raised as babies. She enjoys a 3-way Facebook conversation with them every day. Her brother lives close to The Atriums in Overland Park.

Independent Living Staff Is Her Favorite Part.

Marie says she noticed how the staff and residents seemed happy and smiled a lot when she first toured our community in 2017 before choosing it as her new residence. Today she says her favorite part of our community is the team members who serve her and have become her friends.
